2025 Conference Anthology
Psychedelic Intersections: 2025 Conference Anthology draws on research presented at the 2025 "Psychedelic Intersections: Betwixt and Between Chaplaincy, Plant Medicine, and Aesthetics" conference. Edited by Paul Gillis-Smith and Jeffrey Breau, this Anthology features interdisciplinary scholarship, including religious studies, anthropology, clinical science, art history, Indigenous studies, and more.
The Anthology opens with an introduction by Jeffrey Breau and Paul Gillis-Smith, the Center's Program Leads for Psychedelics and Spirituality. Following the introduction are two interviews, the first with the conference's morning keynote, Elías García Méndez, and the second with evening keynote, Marian Goodell. The rest of the volume includes 14 chapters that are organized into three research sections: Psychedelics, Spirituality, and Care; Indigenous Plant Medicine Traditions; and Psychedelic Aesthetics and the Transcendent.
