Dr. Ojo Joseph Rapheal
Dr. Rapheal received his Ph.D. in Comparative Religious Studies from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria in 2023. He was a lecturer with the Department of Religion and African Culture, Adekunle Ajasin University, Ondo State, Nigeria for nine years and a visiting lecturer with the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies, Federal University Lokoja, Nigeria for about a year and half engaged in researching, teaching and doing community service. Dr. Rapheal has gained international recognition in the very important areas in the study of religion and has had several international intellectual appearances at different conferences, including the annual meeting of the Society for the Scientific Study of Religion (SSSR). His primary emphasis is on the intersection between religion and society, especially religion and violent extremism, religion and peacebuilding, religion and politics, the church and modern society, and Interfaith Dialogue. He is an independent researcher based in Baltimore, and with another with a new research interest on religion and mental health. He is an astute researcher with different awards, scholarships and grants won. A highly rated instructor, and with cutting-edge research in the study of religion through interdisciplinary engagements.
