Video: Intellectual Worlds of Meditation—Participation in the Divine Life

This lecture from Brother Geoffrey Tristram was presented as part of the CSWR series Intellectual Worlds of Meditation. Brother Tristram is the superior of the Society of St. John the Evangelist, an Episcopal religious community in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

The Society of St. John the Evangelist was the first monastic community of men to be established in the Anglican Church after the Reformation. It was founded in Oxford, England, in the middle of the nineteenth century, and came to Boston in 1870. The brothers seek to maintain a prayerful presence in the heart of Harvard Square, and Brother Tristram shared the society's distinctive contemplative practices and way of life.
