Megan Marshall is the author of the Pulitzer Prize-winning *Margaret Fuller: A New American Life* (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, 2013), *Elizabeth Bishop: A Miracle for Breakfast* (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, 2013), and *The Peabody Sisters* (Mariner, 2006), a Pulitzer Prize finalist. She is the Charles Wesley Emerson College Professor Emerita of nonfiction writing at Emerson College, a past president of the Society of American Historians, and a recipient of the BIO Award, the highest honor given by the Biographers International Organization. Her most recent book is *After Lives: On Biography and the Mysteries of the Human Heart* (Mariner, 2025).
