This conversation between CSWR Junior Fellow Funlayo Wood and [Chief Babalawo Oluwole Ifakunle Adetutu Alagbede](http://www.ifakunle.com/about-the-awo.php) took place on February 21 at the CSWR. Alagbede is a professional diviner, ceremonial officiant, and chief priest of the Ile Omo Ope shrine in New York City.

The discussion centered on historical and contemporary uses of divination and methods of divinatory practice and focused on African and African-diasporic spiritual traditions.
